Reiki
A Japanese healing technique that promotes a state of deep relaxation, combined with a general feeling of well-being. The Reiki practitioner instructs the recipient to lie down, usually on a massage table and relax. Loose comfortable clothing is usually worn during treatment or it can be combined with a massage treatment. It is reported that the recipient often feels warmth or tingling in the area being treated, even when a non-touching approach is being used. Reiki treatment is said to stimulate the body’s natural healing.

Thai Massage
The recipient is on a mat and put into many yoga-like positions during the course of the massage. The practitioner leans on the recipient’s body using hands and feet to apply firm rhythmic pressure. The massage generally follows the Sen lines on the body-meridians. Includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body; this may include pulling fingers, toes, ears, cracking the knuckles, walking on the recipient’s back and arching the body.

Reflexology
This treatment is also referred to as zone therapy. It involves the physical act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. It is based on what reflexologists claim to be a system of zones and reflex areas that they say reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic stone. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release. Hot Stone Massage is a style of massage therapy in which water-treated stones are placed at specific sites on the client’s body to promote relaxation and to help open up the meridians (energy pathways). Muscles are pretreated with the heated stones to allow the therapist to more easily perform deep tissue manipulations. Cool stones are sometimes used alternately with hot stones. Massage oils are usually incorporated into the massage treatment.
